- Sales Tips for the Automotive Industry » Psychology of Selling
People naturally seem to slow down at this time of year and take a moment to reflect on what is important in life. With that in mind consider what a privilege it is to live where we do with all of the wealth and opportunity that is afforded us each and every day. Despite all of the challenges - perceived or real - we still live in a part of the world where, generally speaking, one is rewarded for working hard. You can choose to enhance your skill set and affect not only your own well being, but that of your clients. The saying “sales is not something you do TO someone, it’s something you do FOR them” is appropriate. You can choose your attitude and you can choose to focus on others and providing value to them instead of on yourself. When selling, having a sincere desire to serve your clients should be at the core of everything we say and do.
The cool thing is that we can still lead the sales process with a servant attitude. We're helping people get what they want (your product) in the best way (by taking your lead). This usually works out for the salesperson that has this "others 1st" mentality. As Zig Ziglar once said, “You can get everything you want in life if you just help others get what they want”.
With that in mind, thank you for letting Automotivaters be a part of your success and we wish you a heartfelt Merry Christmas and all the best for 2014.
